TRAVEL, EDUCATE &

GIVE BACK

Climb Kilimanjaro and Empower Children in Tanzania!

Heal The Planet has launched an exciting new project called Travel, Educate, and Give Back, focused on connecting travelers with a purpose to the Mwereni School in Tanzania. This project aligns perfectly with our mission of sustainable education but with a unique twist: adventure travel meets community impact.

Here's how it works:

  • Thrill seekers embarking on the iconic Kilimanjaro climb can add a meaningful dimension to their journey by visiting the Mwereni School.

  • Travelers will engage with students, participating in activities similar to our SEED Program.:

    • Planting fruits and vegetables – learning about sustainable agriculture.

    • Sports and games – fostering cultural exchange and joy.

  • The crucial difference: Travelers will also directly support the school's needs. Currently, the focus is on building a sustainable irrigation system.

    • Travelers will contribute financially to purchase materials like solar panels and pipes.

    • Their hands-on involvement in constructing the system adds an impactful layer.

We're thrilled to have supported our first traveler, Victorino from Spain, currently residing in Dublin. He joined three friends from France, to climb Kilimanjaro, visited the school, and collaborated with the leaders of the school to donate supplies.

The ambition? For the Mwereni School to become a model of sustainability for other schools in Tanzania, inspiring them to adopt similar practices.

Why join us?

  • Travel with purpose: Combine adventure with meaningful impact, leaving a lasting legacy.

  • Direct impact: Your contribution goes directly to the school, fostering self-sufficiency.

  • Sustainable approach: Help the school become self-sustaining.

  • Spread the word: Raise awareness for Heal The Planet's mission through unique travel experiences.

The old proverb that says, "It takes a village to raise a child.” There are few times in life you meet people who can impact your children's lives. Coach Ayenza is one of them. Kameron-Avery has fallen in love with throwing the discus.  She was there, right at that moment when he threw down that shot put and said "I give up!" With a gentle spirit, she called him and introduced him to the discus and he has been spinning ever since! He won the Bethany Championship 2 years in a row! He is one of the youngest-ranked discus throwers!

She has not only invested in my son but also my daughter Kirsten-Paige who has also made it to the AAU championships. Ayenza’s timely words of encouragement and coaching skills are priceless and I am forever grateful.
