LOVE IN ACTION: HONORING GLOBAL LOVE DAY ON MAY 1ST
“The Love I seek is already within me.” - Ken Fisher
I was coming through my beach gate earlier this week when I noticed a woman photographing a sign in my backyard. I told her this quote came to me while I was cleaning the beach about eight years ago. For the first 7½ years, I felt God gave me this quote to share with others, but it wasn't until the last six months that I realized God meant this quote for me, too.
The woman immediately responded: "Yes, this is for me, too. This is God speaking to me."
Before I could finish sharing this Love in Action story with the team, my friend Doreen came through my back gate from the beach to rinse off her French bulldog, Stevie Nicks. She turned to me and said, "You know, I was on the beach this morning, and a woman came up to me because she saw my 'Spread Love' t-shirt. She asked if my backyard was the one with all the signs about Love."
Doreen told her it belonged to me, and the woman responded: "I love all the signs. Every day when I walk by his backyard and read them, they make me feel so good and bring me peace." What’s even more beautiful is that this woman was helping another woman on the beach, a complete stranger, find something she'd lost.
This story illustrates that Love is not just something we give, it's something we receive and embody. For years, I shared this quote with others, only to realize it was meant for me, too. This shift matters because giving Love without owning and receiving Love creates disharmony. People who give the most often struggle to accept that they are equally worthy of the same Love and compassion they offer so freely. The moment I began to internalize this quote, the Universe mirrored it right back to me.
I do not believe any of this is by coincidence. This is the living energy of Love that is divinely orchestrated when we are in flow with it. A stranger sees my sign and feels it's God speaking directly to her just before a friend unknowingly confirms that the words from my signs have impacted someone's daily life. Then there's the act of Love and Kindness, a woman helping another on the beach, as a living extension of the message itself. None of it forced, all of it connected in the most divine way.
The deeper lesson is so much more meaningful: Love isn't fully lived until it is embodied. When Love is expressed authentically, it doesn't stay contained; it geometrically expands and connects people who may never meet.
In honor of Global Love Day, let's all See the Loving Essence in Ourselves and Others, so we can Heal The Planet Together 💜
