ONE PERSON'S LIGHT ILLUMINATES THE PLANET
I woke up this morning thinking of the immense amount of opportunities the CoronaVirus is presenting for all of humankind. There are countless references of how our individual actions as human beings are directly impacting the health and wellbeing of our entire planet. Let me share with you the beautiful synchronicity I received today.
On one hand, this virus started with a single person in China and now has spread throughout the entire planet, affecting us all. This is one of the harshest references in my lifetime, of just how closely connected we all are, and how each of our actions can literally impact the entire planet. Now let’s reference a single candle of light. While participating in a two year Masters Program in Spiritual Psychology I witnessed a candle lighting ceremony which exemplified the powerful impact one person’s light can have on our planet. Imagine hundreds of students each holding a candle with one single candle lit. That single candle lights two other candles, then those two candles light two more and those 4 candles light two other candles, and within a minute the entire room is glowing with hundreds of candles. The beauty to recognize in all of this is that a single candle can illuminate thousands of other candles without diminishing its own light. You too can be that kind of candle.
Each of us has the inner resources and opportunity to cultivate that light! In the book Power vs Force, bestselling author David Hawkins estimated that one person living at a level of Unconditional Love can counterbalance 750,000 others who are not. So there you have it! Each of us holds the power within our daily choices to create a virus, or instead, to bring about positive change for the wellbeing of our entire planet.
