Of course nature has it so that what’s good for the inside and outside of your body can also be good to clean the inside your home. In some cases, you can actually lick what’s on the floor!
Below is a list of a few must-haves, or staples, for your home, plus some recipes for making your surfaces sparkle.
Apple cider vinegar: Regulates the pH of your skin, removes stains from teeth, can sooth sunburned skin, and aid in weight loss, cleans lymphatic system, detoxifies the liver, helps get rid of candida, helps to detox and restore balance inside the body, and effective at repelling fleas on your pets.
Natural Household Cleanser Recipe: Glass Cleaner- Fill a squirt bottle with ¼ cup rubbing alcohol, ¼ cup apple cider vinegar, 1 tbsp. cornstarch, 2 cups of warm water. Shake to mix well, and enjoy your green-clean glass.
Baking soda: Helps fight colds and the flu, ulcer pain, splinter removal, sunburn remedy, deodorant, enhanced sports performance, plaque removal, teeth whitener, insect bites, foot soak, exfoliator, and natural carpet cleaner.
Natural Household Cleanser Recipe: Toilet Bowl Cleaner- Place the following ingredients into the toilet bowl: ¼ cup baking soda, ¼ cup borax, 1 cup white vinegar. Mix gently with a toilet brush, but let sit for at least 30 minutes before scrubbing. Flush away the grub.
Coconut oil: Improves memory and keeps the brain energized by killing unwanted bacteria, balances hormones, maintains healthy blood sugar levels, eliminates brain inflammation, and good to dab on dry skin.
Household Cleanser Recipe: Dusting Spray- Fill a squirt bottle with 2 tsp coconut oil, 1 tsp lemon juice, ¼ cup white vinegar, and 1 cup of warm water. Shake to mix well, and enjoy the no chemical fuss.
Lemon: High in Vitamin C, lots of antioxidants, protection against rheumatoid arthritis, natural detoxifier.
Natural Household Cleanser Recipe: Mopping Floors- Fill a jar with organic citrus peels and pour undiluted white vinegar over them. Leave for a few days-up to two weeks and strain vinegar to use as a natural cleaner. Good for window cleaning (dilute water), mopping floors, or as a disinfectant.
